Duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities Help implement strategies outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) Work closely with the SENCO, class teachers and external professionals Promote pupils’ independence, confidence and social development Support children with emotional regulation, sensory needs or physical challenges where required Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant: Experience working with children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, or SEMH A calm, caring and flexible approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
