This is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week, Sense are offering £13.84 per hour.Sense Otterhayes is a cluster of supported living services (7 properties) and one residential care home (for 5 people). The services have access to a poly tunnel for people to grow their own fruit and vegetables. There is an art room and a small studio.For this role you must have ability to produce clear written documents, and be computer literate on systems such as word, excel etc. You must either have or be willing to work towards Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent and have enthusiasm for personal development and attendance at internal training courses.Due to the location of our service it is desirable that you hold a full UK drivers license, and have access to a vehicle, we have free staff parking on site.We’re looking for enthusiastic applicants who are:Positive, with a can-do attitude.Enthusiastic to participate in a wide range activities.Caring and empathetic.Passionate about enhancing other people’s lives.No two days will be the sameHere at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. Your priority will be empowering the people you support to live an independent life.This role in Ottery St Mary might include:Supporting individuals / groups / teams within the home, center and community.Providing a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.Delivering services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.Full job specification is attached below.For this role in Ottery St Mary you will require:You will need to be a good role model.Experience of mentoring and inducting staff, supporting staff through supervisions and creating development plans is desirable.Previous experience as a support worker or team leader in a similar setting – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent Team Leader.An NVQ or equivalent qualification in health and social care and the care certificate, or be willing to work towards these.
