About the role:
Based at our Horton Centre in Gloucester, you will be working predominantly with small groups of KS4 students to deliver Maths within a broad vocational curriculum. As a KS4 teacher you will work with a small group of colleagues to support students gain appropriate KS4 qualifications to support progression post 16. The role involves working collaboratively in to support the delivery of the Gateway Vocational Qualification, whilst also providing support for the smooth running of the Horton Centre.
In addition to salary and additional benefits, this role may qualify for a government-funded payment of up to £6,000 through the Department for Education’s Targeted Retention Incentive for Maths teachers in eligible schools.
This is a valuable additional benefit designed to support teachers in priority subjects and settings (eligibility criteria apply).

The Altus School is a local authority maintained alternative provision school (PRU), working with students from Year 1 through to Y11 who predominantly join us after a permanent exclusion from a mainstream setting.
