Junior Sous Chef – Ardoe House Hotel
Support senior chefs in delivering high-quality dishes, maintaining standards, and leading the kitchen team in the absence of the Sous or Head Chef.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Sous and Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations.
* Supervise and support junior kitchen staff during service.
* Ensure consistency and quality of food preparation and presentation.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
* Contribute to menu development, specials, and food cost control.
* Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory checks.
* Train and mentor commis and demi chefs as needed.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations.
* Lead the kitchen during shifts when senior chefs are absent.
