Location: Harrogate
We are hiring a part‑time Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team in Harrogate.
What you’ll do
Management accounts and reporting
* Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts for adviser businesses
* Post accruals, prepayments, and journals, and complete balance sheet reconciliations
* Support month‑end close and meet reporting deadlines
Adviser and stakeholder support
* Respond to adviser queries in a timely, professional manner
* Explain financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders
* Support advisers in understanding their financial performance
Process and administration
* Review and process departmental documentation, including dividend paperwork
* Support company secretarial activity where required
* Maintain accurate, well‑documented financial records
Team support
* Guide and support junior team members
* Review work and share best practice
* Provide cover across the team during periods of leave
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
Experience and knowledge
* Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), or equivalent experience
* Experience preparing management accounts and supporting month‑end processes
* Sound understanding of core accounting principles
Skills
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
* Clear communicator, able to explain financial information simply
* Confident using accounting systems and Excel
Approach
* Organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities

* Willing to mentor others and contribute to team development
