Overview
Specialist Chemotherapy Nurse role at Sciensus. Based in Ipswich with travel across a regional area to deliver specialist treatment in patients' homes and provide holistic one-to-one care.
Responsibilities
* Administer a range of haematological and solid tumour chemotherapy treatments as defined in the patient’s care plan, while sustaining professional standards.
* Document clinical data and report adverse drug events via the correct protocol.
* Build lasting relationships with patients, carers and stakeholders to support treatment and recovery.
* Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and address any gaps in clinical competency, while staying compliant with policies and procedures.
* Provide patient-focused care and deliver high-quality nursing tailored to patients’ needs.
* Travel to visit patients at home; a full UK driving licence is essential as regional travel is required.
Qualifications
* Registered General Nurse (RGN).
* Qualified in administering Cytotoxic drugs.
* Cannulation and experience undertaking clinical assessments.
