We are working with a leading further education provider to recruit a passionate Communication Support Worker (CSW) to support Deaf and hard-of-hearing students. You will work closely with teaching staff to promote independence, inclusion, and confidence across a range of vocational subjects. This is a full-time, term-time role (37 hours/week) with opportunities to make a real difference in a dynamic, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support Deaf and hard-of-hearing learners in the classroom and across the curriculum
* Help students access lessons and achieve their full potential
* Promote inclusion, confidence, and independence
* Work flexibly and empathetically to meet individual learner needs
* Collaborate with teaching staff and other support services
Person Specification:
* Level 3 BSL qualification (Signature, CACDP, SEG, or Scottish equivalent)
* Ideally holds a formal CSW qualification
* GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths
* Experience supporting Deaf learners or those with SEND
* Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education
