Now is the time to hire a Business Ops leader to drive efficiencies and own the Operations functions as they continue to drive growth. These guys are serious, the products are the best tasting on market & the NPD pipeline is incredible. The time has come for the business to upskill and add firepower to their resources, with this role playing a pivotal part in the strategy for years to come and become part of the operating board in the following years.
About the Role
As this business continues to expand, we're looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Operations to join the team. This role is pivotal to ensuring the business operates at peak efficiency, supporting growth, and maintaining their commitment to quality. We are seeking a highly organised and driven Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our day-to-day business operations. Reporting directly to CEO & Founder, this role is crucial to the efficient and effective functioning of the company. Responsibilities
* Line Management: Provide leadership and oversight for the operations and finance teams, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and optimal team performance.
* New Product Development (NPD) & Brand Project Management: Take the lead on managing NPD and brand-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company objectives.
* Business Scorecard Management: Develop, monitor, and manage the company’s business scorecard, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
* Vendor & Partner Management Oversee vendor and partner contracts, ensuring compliance and delivery excellence. Foster strong relationships to support company goals. Monitor and improve 3PL performance based on KPIs such as delivery times, cost-efficiency, order accuracy. Negotiate contracts with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners.
* Business Reporting: Manage and refine business reporting processes, ensuring accurate and actionable insights for decision-making at all levels. Utilise data analytics to improve forecasting accuracy, track operational costs, and drive supply chain improvements. Provide reports to senior management on supply chain performance, costs, improvements.
* Sustainability and Compliance: Ensure supply chain operations adhere to all relevant regulations, including food safety standards and environmental regulations. Work with suppliers and partners to enhance sustainability initiatives, such as reducing carbon footprint, minimising packaging waste, and sourcing ethically. Work with B-Corp to ensure we hit all our objectives and continuously improve in line with playbook.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations, Business, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS, CIPS) is a plus.
Required Skills
* Proven experience in operations management, business management, or a related role
* Proven experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) partners and external suppliers.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
* Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
* Proficiency in business analytics and reporting tools.
* Experience with vendor and partner relationship management.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
* Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
* Commitment to sustainability and knowledge of ethical sourcing practices including B Corp will be a plus.
