The post involves assessing and teaching students within the electrical installation sector. Programs include NVQs and taught courses within this sector, including Inspection & Testing, 18th Edition IET Regulations, solar photovoltaic, plus the AM2 practical examination.
Responsibilities:
* Teach and assess learners within the Electrical Installations sector via NVQs, cost recovery, technical certificates, and taught sessions.
* Plan, prepare, and deliver assessments across a range of courses, ensuring schemes/records of work and assignment schedules are appropriate to the syllabus content and awarding body standards.
* Plan and deliver over 12 hours per week of training to learners as required.
Qualifications:
* TAQA - Assessor Award and/or V1 Internal Verifiers award or equivalent.
* Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) grade C or above in literacy and numeracy qualifications.
* Proven track record of working in an engineering/electrical setting.
Industry Knowledge:
Commercial knowledge, experience, and understanding of industry, including training needs.

* Working pattern: 8.00-16.30 Mon to Thu, 8.00-16.00 Fri

* Salary: £35,390 - £41,170 per annum

Appointments are normally made at the bottom of the salary scale with annual increments on 1st August each year, subject to a start date before 1st February.
