EYFS Teaching Assistant – Primary School – Stroud
Are you passionate about early years education and supporting young children in their first steps of learning? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary school in Stroud. The school places a high value on early years development and is seeking a compassionate, proactive individual who understands the unique needs of children in the EYFS stage. You will work closely with the class teacher and EYFS team to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children in an EYFS setting
* Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
* Strong organisational and observation skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* A nurturing and proactive approach to child development
* An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the class teacher with EYFS curriculum delivery
* Assisting with phonics, play-based learning, and early literacy/numeracy
* Creating a positive and inclusive environment for young learners
* Monitoring and encouraging developmental milestones
* Managing behaviour and routines in line with school policies
* Working collaboratively with staff and parents to support pupil progress
