Job Title:Electronic Design EngineerLocation:Frome (Hybrid Working - 3 Days On-Site Per Week)Salary:Up to £65,000 (Depending on Experience)

Job Overview:
A requirement for an additional electronics engineer, focused on providing additional strength in hardware and associated firmware development.
Job Requirements:
* Design and development of electronic embedded systems for subsea and shipboard applications.
* Creation of new products from initial concept to final production, including both component and system-level development.
* Enhancement and maintenance of existing products through design improvements, addressing component obsolescence, and implementing cost-reduction strategies.
Necessary Experience/Skills:
* Extensive expertise in defining and developing electronic products to meet customer specifications.
* Proficient in designing for compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Experienced with communication protocols such as Ethernet, RS485, SPI, I2C, I2S, among others.
* Practical knowledge of Altium Designer.
* Demonstrated success in collaborative multidisciplinary settings.
* Strong hands-on debugging abilities and familiarity with laboratory equipment.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
* Working knowledge of programming languages such as C, VHDL, and Python.
* Familiar with Linux operating systems.
* Experience with version control systems.
* Skilled in PCB layout using Altium, creating manufacturing documentation, and collaborating with PCB fabrication and assembly services.
Education:
- Degree in a relevant area such as Software or Electronic Engineering
