* Mandatory registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
* Completion of an MPharm or equivalent pharmacy degree
* Independent prescribing qualification is desirable or the pharmacist should be willing to work towards it
* Membership of professional bodies like the Royal Pharmaceutical Society is desirable.
* Completion of the CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway is expected for primary care competence
Desirable
* Minimum 2-3 years post-registration experience in pharmacy, with exposure to clinical, community, or hospital settings
* Experience or awareness of common acute and long-term conditions managed in general practice
* Familiarity with primary care prescribing practices, medication optimisation, polypharmacy, and patient safety protocols
* Previous involvement in clinical medication reviews, polypharmacy management, and patient consultations is advantageous
* Experience with care home or domiciliary reviews can be desirable
