Join Our Team as a Quantity Surveyor!
Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a passionate Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in the Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks business stream. You’ll be working with our Severn Trent wastewater team based in Wanlip, Leicestershire, with the flexibility to work from home!
Location & Hours
Location: Wanlip, Leicestershire (with some remote work options)
Hours: 45 hours per week, with flexible start and end times to suit your lifestyle.
Your Responsibilities
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Severn Trent wastewater team in delivering the ECI Phase 2 and developing the Wanlip sewerage treatment works (STW), valued at approximately £100m to £125m. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
* Controlling costs while maximizing value and minimizing future liabilities.
* Collaborating with project teams, including the Commercial Lead, Project Engineers, Procurement Coordinators, Planners, Site Team Leaders, and Site Managers.
* Enhancing cost efficiency and fostering a culture of out-performance.
* Procurement of subcontractors in line with our commercial standards to ensure the best value for Kier and our clients.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.
* Have experience working on complex civil projects.
* Are familiar with NEC contracts.
