The Opportunity
Applications are invited for the positions of fixed-term (12 months) Security Guards at Sizewell B Power Station, with the potential for a permanent position.
The successful candidates will be responsible for security duties, including personnel and vehicle access control, patrols, maintaining security records, and conducting searches, with an emphasis on modern security techniques. Full training will be provided.
Pay, Benefits, and Culture
The salary range for this role is £35,059 - £39,543. Appointments will be based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement, as well as your salary, competence, experience, and qualifications. What You’ll Be Doing
Ensuring all activities comply with site license requirements, security agreements, statutory regulations, and safety rules.
Performing and advising on general security guard duties.
Maintaining records of incidents and logs, and producing reports as needed.
Who You Are
A proactive team player capable of working with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of security procedures is advantageous.
Security Industry Authority (SIA) qualification or relevant service background is preferred.
Minimum education to GCSE or equivalent, with passes in English and mathematics being an advantage.
Articulate, well-mannered, and discreet, with strong report-writing skills.
Previous security experience and computer literacy are desirable.
Able to demonstrate flexibility and teamwork.

To be eligible, you must meet security vetting criteria, typically requiring residency in the UK for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
