Are you ready to thrive in a dynamic environment? Volt is excited to announce an opportunity for an Expediter/Coordinator in Garden Grove, CA. This role is pivotal in managing the lifecycle of outside processing orders, ensuring seamless coordination across various departments.
Your Role
As our Expediter/Coordinator, you will:
* Act as the Outside Processing Expediter & Coordinator, overseeing the entire order process from planning to supplier handoff.
* Review planning and work orders from Planners and the Machine Shop.
* Create and batch purchase orders for outside processing to designated suppliers.
* Maintain strong communication with suppliers to ensure timely processing and delivery.
* Deliver orders to the operations staging area with accurate documentation.
* Support the Receiving Quality Inspector with necessary documentation for inspection and receiving processes.
* Serve as a communication hub among Buyers, Demand Managers, Program Managers, and Operations personnel.
* Utilize ERP software to manage orders and update statuses accurately.
* Monitor supplier performance and address potential delays or issues proactively.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Strong communication skills: both verbal and written (email and phone).
* Organizational skills: detail-oriented with a knack for administration.
* ERP experience: familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.
* Microsoft Excel proficiency: beginner level or above, with a typing speed of at least 35 WPM.
* A positive, professional attitude with a “first-day of the job” mentality.
* Ability to adapt quickly, solve problems in real-time, and maintain a sense of urgency.
* Previous experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or supplier management is a plus.
* A high school diploma is required; an AA or BA degree is preferred.
Working Conditions
This is a fully on-site, 3-month contract opportunity in Garden Grove, CA.
Compensation
The pay rate for this position is $21.00/hr. Please note that the final pay rate will be based on various factors, including education, work experience, and specific job duties.
