The opportunity: To provide support to the Commercial Manager HBH UK (Leicester, Wrexham, Tewkesbury, Greenford, Bourne) to support improvements in commercial activity working closely with sales and the sites customer services and production teams to increase opportunity for margin recovery, cost reduction and profit improvement and to provide commercial support and co-ordinate commercially sensitive customer projects. The successful candidate's primary responsibility will be to manage day to day and routine pricing requests, data analysis, origination and tooling cost capture and invoicing whilst optimizing all commercial opportunities and supporting a variety of margin improvement projects. The collation and presentation of accurate commercial information is a critical part of the role. How you will impact WestRock: - Work with Commercial Manager towards achieving manufacturing savings through manufacturing route analysis & material usage. - Support day to day pricing activities. - Utilize systems and processes to manage costs of tooling and managing origination activity. - Lead & participate in margin improvement projects for sites. - Provision of routine detailed and accurate analysis, reports and presentations on customer and component activity across the sites providing generic customer analysis for operations managers and including analysis & reporting on profitability. - Provide statistical analysis and co-ordinate reviews with Sales and Operations. - Tail Management support - analysis and recommendation to support manufacturing cost reductions through direct intelligence based action. - Support CM on customer projects to engineer out costs. - Support Commercial Manager in promoting the product capabilities leading to increased focus on added value sales growth and product development. - Support tender and other pricing activities.
