We are recruiting a hands-onUV Field Service Technicianto support the cleaning, inspection and routine maintenance of UV disinfection systems across UK water and wastewater treatment sites.
This is a field-based role supporting UV Field Service Engineers during planned and reactive maintenance visits. The position focuses on cleaning and mechanical service activities rather than advanced electrical fault-finding. Regular UK travel and overnight stays are required.
The Role
You will carry out cleaning of quartz sleeves, removal and refitting of UV lamps, routine inspections and minor mechanical strip-down/rebuild tasks, while supporting preventative maintenance and breakdown works. The role also includes completing digital service reports, maintaining safe working areas, and working in line with site RAMS and permit-to-work systems.
Requirements
Candidates must have industrial or site-based experience, practical mechanical aptitude, and confidence using hand tools in operational environments. You should be comfortable working outdoors, physically capable, safety-focused, IT literate, and able to travel and stay away during the working week. A full UK driving licence is essential.
Strong awareness of health & safety procedures and experience working under RAMS is required. Familiarity with permit-to-work systems is desirable.
Desirable Qualifications & Training
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or similar Mechanical / Electrical qualification)
* EUSR Water Hygiene Card
* CSCS or ECS card
* Confined Space Training (Low/Medium Risk)
* First Aid at Work
* Manual Handling Training
