The Technical Buyer is responsible for requisitions, raising purchase orders and expediting, sourcing new vendors and monitoring current vendors on the Approved Vendor List. Input to bidding process, obtaining quotations for company designed and bought in products to meet customer specifications, specific industry standards and local and international requirements. Working with clients and suppliers to determine timely procurement specifications. Agreeing terms and conditions with suppliers, clients and Bekaert including flow downs from clients and end users. Procurement of Flintstone designed and bought in products to meet contractual requirements and local and international requirements. Identifying and qualifying new suppliers. Setting up purchasing agreement with key suppliers. Visiting existing and potential suppliers and carrying out vendor assessments and audits. Liaising with project teams on schedule issues and assisting in finding solutions to late delivery and quality non-conformance. Ensuring all suppliers adhere to all Flintstone and Bekaert policies including quality, HSE and business ethics. Desirable Requirements of the Job Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Qualification Work Experience Minimum 5 years in a similar position.
