Our client is looking for a remote Assistant Accountant to work part-time. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Double-entry bookkeeping (must have a good knowledge of double-entry)
* Bank reconciliations - daily
* Processing supplier invoices, gaining approval, making payment runs
* Requesting and processing receipts
* Raising sales invoices / credit control
* Updating monthly balance sheet
* Dealing with e-commerce transactions, downloading data and analysing with Excel
* Reconciling control accounts
The company uses Xero and Excel, previous experience using Xero is required, as is intermediate Excel knowledge. The company are looking for someone to work circa 21-30 hours per week but can be flexible regarding how these are spread. The role is remote but occasional travel for meetings in Portchester is required and you should live a commutable distance from Portchester. Double-entry bookkeeping experience is required.
