Are you an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in print or packaging? (flexibles would be advantageous but not essential). Do you thrive on driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day site operations across printing, conversion, engineering, and warehouse functions. Reporting to the General Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping performance, culture, and customer satisfaction.
Supported by Production Leaders and teamleaders you will have responsibility for approximately 50 reports but we are positioning for growth with recent investment, so you will play a key part of the change to come.
What you'll do:
* Lead operations and engineering teams, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality performance.
* Drive a culture of empowerment, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Oversee production, labour deployment, and resource planning to meet customer demand.
* Manage engineering teams, budgets, and contractors, ensuring equipment reliability and compliance.
* Analyse performance using KPIs and root cause analysis, implementing improvements to reduce waste, downtime, and costs.
* Champion health, safety, and environmental standards, working closely with H&S and Quality leads.
* Play a key role in site leadership, with responsibility for up to 50 colleagues.
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience in operations management, ideally within print or packaging (flexibles highly desirable).
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams.
* Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or similar is preferred, but not essential.
* Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
