You will be teaching years 7-11 and also encouraged to deliver extracurricular activities. Enthusiasm in the subject, overall teaching expertise and professionalism are vital so as to inspire the students’ thirst for learning.
Qualifications
1. A degree or equivalent
2. QTS (the school will consider ECTs)
Knowledge, understanding and skills
3. Experience of teaching KS3 and GCSE
4. High expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge all pupil
5. Well-structured curriculum planning and good subject management
6. Evidence of outstanding outcomes for pupils taught
7. Evidence of exemplary teaching
8. Excellent classroom management and IT skills
9. The ability to inspire and be a role model to students
10. Knowledge of a range of approaches to cater for different learner needs
11. Knowledge of effective behaviour management
12. Knowledge and understanding of SEND
13. Knowledge of current national education policies
14. Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures
15. Willingness to be involved in the wider life of the school community
