Head of Cyber Security - Global Leader (West London)

£120,000-£125,000 base + 20 % BONUS
Join a multi-billion-pound global organisation undergoing major technology modernisation. This brand-new role places you as the #1 Cyber leader, owning the entire enterprise security function across wholesale and retail operations.
As Head of Cyber Security, you'll set strategy, lead a growing team, and drive transformation across security governance, operations, compliance, cloud, and risk. You'll implement frameworks aligned to GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and Cyber Essentials Plus, while modernising hybrid environments across Azure, AWS, Nutanix, and on-prem.
Key Responsibilities
1. Define and deliver a 3-5 year cyber security strategy and roadmap
2. Lead enterprise security governance and represent security at senior/board level
3. Own policies, frameworks, compliance, DPIAs, and operating models
4. Oversee incident response, vulnerability management, SOC integration, and threat monitoring
5. Secure hybrid platforms (Azure, AWS, Nutanix, SD-WAN, Zero Trust, CASB, SASE)
6. Lead risk assessments, KRIs, and reporting to senior leadership
7. Embed security culture through training, phishing simulations, and awareness programmes
8. Drive security into operational teams, vendors, partners, and third-party risk management
Success Measures
9. Strategy delivered within first 90 days
10. Strong GDPR & PCI audit outcomes
11. Reduction in vulnerabilities and phishing incidents
12. Improved audit ratings and team engagement
What We're Looking For
13. Senior leadership experience in cyber/security
14. CISSP, CISM, CISA or equivalent
15. Strong track record with ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, Cyber Essentials Plus
16. Hands-on background across Azure, AWS, hybrid infrastructure, and modern security tooling
17. Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder influence
