About The Role
We are looking to recruit a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team based at our manufacturing facility in Scunthorpe. The candidate will work a combination of mornings and afternoons on a rotating shift pattern.
Main Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
* Provide rapid response to breakdowns when required.
* Fault finding, troubleshooting, and maintaining, repairing conveyor systems, equipment, and plant using all engineering disciplines to ensure minimum lost production time.
* Follow up on faults identified during PPMs.
* Maintain engineering standards to maximize operational effectiveness and reliability of the factory and systems.
* Assist specialist subcontractors for PPM and reactive works.
* Adhere to company QA and site procedures.
* Follow health & safety procedures at all times.
* Maintain all company-issued tools in a safe and working condition.
* Work proactively to support the business with a positive attitude.
* Perform any other tasks assigned by management.
* Keep workstations tidy and well-maintained.
About You
Key Skills and Desires:
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering and relevant experience.
* PLC Qualification.
* Ability to work well under pressure.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent technical skills and knowledge.
