Student Experience Support Leader
1. Hours of work: 37 hours per week
2. Salary: £33,202 to £35,224 per annum
3. Location: Castleford College, with working across Wakefield and Selby when required
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Student Experience Support Lead to join our team at the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group.
As a Student Experience Support Leader, you will have a pivotal role in ensuring a student experience of the highest quality. We are looking for someone who is passionate about student’s achieving their potential and preparing students not only for college life but for life and work beyond college. This is a very diverse role, working in a busy environment, where you will get to liaise with lots of different staff and stakeholders with the student at the heart of the role.
Working within the Student Experience department and directly with the Local College Director, you will be responsible for:
4. Providing a presence in student facing areas to address student engagement and reinforcement on behaviours with high expectations, standards and security procedures.
5. Providing leadership for defined aspects of student experience and support services to ensure that all students on the campus are given the highest level of individual support to achieve their learning aims.
6. Contributing to the retention and achievement of our learners ensuring a quality student experience service of the highest standard.
7. Leading on a day-to-day basis on student support conduct and disciplinary issues and liaising with relevant managers and external partners to provide support services to students under the instruction of the Local College Director.
8. Act as a key point of contact for internal services, parents and stakeholders and work with them to support the students.
9. Supporting a positive culture of belonging and behaviour
As a Student Experience Support Leader, you should have:
10. Educated to Level 4 or equivalent experience
11. GCSE A*- C / 9 - 4 in English and Maths or Level 2 equivalent
12. Considerable experience of supporting post 16 learners within an educational or training setting
13. Experience of successfully negotiating with a range of stakeholders in a pastoral and student support setting
14. Proven ability to be able to plan and co-ordinate own activities as well as co-ordinate activities of others through the liaison with a diverse range of students, staff and agencies
