GROUP E-COMMERCE MANAGER

As we build a more digitally focused, data-driven marketing function, we’re investing in people who can build and own strategy and execution across the web, paid search, SEO, and social media – working closely with 3rd party agencies.
The E-Commerce Manager is a senior role accountable for developing and executing the end-to-end e-commerce strategy across the Car Parts Group and all digital sales channels, driving both online and in-store revenue growth within the Group’s retail and B2B channels internationally.
Reporting to the Managing Director and working with the Head of Sales & General Managers for each of the Group’s business units, this role owns omnichannel integration, blending digital acquisition with physical store footfall to deliver a seamless customer journey.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement e-commerce strategies to drive online sales and revenue growth
· Manage and optimize the company's e-commerce platforms, including content
· Monitor and analyse key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase conversion rates, average order value, and customer retention
· Manage all digital touchpoints in the market
· Manage email marketing platforms including automated email marketing such as abandoned cart and browser abandonment
· Craft compelling and persuasive email copy that resonates with our target audience
· Track and analyse campaign performance to identify areas for improvement
· Collaborate with product managers and the wider sales team to develop and execute effective promotional campaigns on platforms such as Bing Ads and Google Ads
· Design and implement loyalty programmes to encourage customer retention and repeat business
· Develop personalised marketing campaigns to engage existing customers and drive repeat purchases
· Produce weekly and monthly reports with clear actionable takeaways and recommendations for growth
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, and IT, to ensure seamless integration of e-commerce initiatives
· Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies to drive innovation in e-commerce operations
· Ensure compliance with legal requirements, such as data privacy regulations and consumer protection laws
· Liaise with web developers to implement necessary changes and updates
Skills:
· Proven experience as an E-commerce Manager or similar role
· In-depth knowledge of e-commerce platforms, technologies, and best practices
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
· Proficiency in web analytics tools, such as GA4, Google Search Console, AHRefs, etc.
· Expertise with using SEO best practices to write creative copy that includes effective keyword placement.
· Familiarity with AI tools and their implementation.
· Good understanding of MS Office and knowledge of WordPress or e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce
· Excellent business knowledge and marketing acumen.
· Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
· Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
· Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
