Overview
We’re looking for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join the Butlin's Buffet Department based in Bognor Regis.
Responsibilities
* Support the running of the kitchen and assist in leading a team of up to 40 people, including resource planning, recruitment and selection to ensure we have the best team in place to deliver an amazing service.
* Monitor guest experience and develop action plans focused on continuous improvement to ensure guests remain the central focus of all operational decisions.
* Deliver food cost budgets through effective menu planning, cooking to standards and specifications; manage margins and control costs.
* Support in the accountability of food hygiene standards and health and safety in line with legislation and company policies.
* Create and implement training schedules and performance development plans for the team to consistently deliver a great guest experience.
* Lead and develop the skills of the team in a main buffet restaurant serving guests with Half-Board dining packages.
About You
* Experience in a similar level role; open to stepping up to the next level in the kitchen.
* Hard-working, reliable, proactive, and focused on delivering brand standards.
* Energetic, enthusiastic, high-spirited and team-oriented; able to enhance the guest experience by developing the team.
* Level 3 Food Safety qualification and confident in leading a team in a fast-paced, busy kitchen.
* Ability to manage margins and costs and handle all health, safety and hygiene responsibilities.
Working Hours & Benefits
Typical working hours are five days over seven, approximately 40 hours per week, with a bonus scheme. The role offers a kitchen environment without split shifts and normally finishes by 8pm.
