We’re looking for a Technical & Security Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team and help safeguard the integrity of the .gov.uk domain space – a cornerstone of trust for the UK public sector.
This is a unique opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with strategic influence. You’ll design secure, scalable systems and ensure that our registry provider delivers a resilient service for millions of users. Your work will underpin government branding, policy, and law, ensuring services are secure by design and resistant to compromise.
In this role, you will:
* Lead the design and review of secure system architectures, developing patterns and principles.
* Assess vulnerabilities and guide decisions on risk and complexity across multiple services.
* Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, managing expectations and resolving disputes.
* Apply strategic thinking to challenge patterns, standards, and policies, shaping UKEF’s security roadmap.
* Bring expertise in DNS, cryptographic mechanisms, packet routing, and naming systems, plus deep knowledge in domain security and exploitation prevention.
