Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. This role will be within our demand management and network infrastructure team

We look after 60 million meters and our teams provide advanced metering solutions to help manage demand for essential suppliers.

What will you be doing?
You'll manage the daily operations of the commercial fleet and plant equipment across the business, utilising telematics and monitoring systems to enhance safety, operational efficiency, and driver/operator behaviour and maintain a presence at all operational sites to ensure consistent management of plant and fleet operations, providing support to site management on transport and plant-related matters.
We'll need you to assist project teams with transport and plant obligations, ensuring vehicles and equipment are operated in accordance with licenses, entitlements, and regulations.
You'll actively participate in or chair investigations into accidents or operational misdemeanours to determine causes and implement preventative measures.
You'll coordinate inspections, MOTs, servicing, tax, and maintenance for all Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) and plant equipment, ensuring accurate defect reports and records are maintained.
You'll collaborate with Programme managers to ensure sufficient licensed and trained operators are available for all vehicles and plant equipment used on the road or on-site.
You'll maintain all documents, procedures, and processes in line with the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) and other relevant standards, identifying key areas for improvement.
