Principal Electronics Engineer
Up to £70,000 + 10% bonus and benefits
High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Hybrid working, 3 days on site minimum
Copello are pleased to be partnered with a major Defence and Aerospace organisation based in Buckinghamshire recruiting for a Principal Electronics Engineer.
As Principal Electronics Engineer you will be joining an established business unit and team of multi-disciplined engineers. You will be working on new technologies and products to enter to Aerospace industry providing cutting edge solutions.
The day to day responsibilities will include;
* Contribution and development of product and technology roadmaps
* Architecture/ design of new electronic sub-systems and PCBs
* Working to system and hardware requirements
* Prepare and produce technical estimations for non-recurring costs and resource requirements
* Working to engineering processes and practices including frameworks life cycle processes and requirements
* Supervise and occasionally lead more junior staff and technicians
* Work closely with and support the product design authority (in particular when responding to tech queries and proposals)
* Contribute as the SME on technical proposals
* Preparation and maintain up to date technical documentation.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas;
* Working closely with multi-disciplined teams to derive requirements
* Electronics architecture, high end design and high speed design
* Design experience in analogue, digital and power supply
* Familiarity in electronics technology and interfaces including, High speed ADC/DAC, JESD204B, RS232/422, UART, SPI etc
* Schematics (Altium)
* PCB Layout and designs, verification
* Design phase lifecycle experience (lifecycle management)
* Test (including lab test equipment and test and cost)
* Degree in Electronic Engineering or similar
* Some project leadership capabilities
To be considered for this role, the Electronics Engineer must be eligible for security clearance (UKSC) and have experience working in a similar role within the Aerospace or Defence industry.
