Urgently recruiting for a Senior Construction Manager to join a Tier 1 Principle contractor for a flagship commercial scheme in the heart of Cambridge. This scheme will be running for several years and is looking to bring on board a dynamic, motivated, experienced individual to manage the CAT A commercial fit out of a £100million+ development.
About the Senior Construction Manager role
This is a large scale, technically complex commercial scheme. The Senior Construction Manager will be managing the basement and reception areas on a £100million+ scheme, with the support of their Senior Project Manager and an Assistant Site Manager.
You will take full responsibility for construction delivery, ensuring the project is delivered to health & safety standards and the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead all on site construction activities from commencement through to completion
* Drive health & safety standards aligned with Tier 1 Construction Contractor standards
* Manage programme, sequencing, and logistics
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to achieve project milestones
* Ensure quality assurance and compliance with specifications and statutory requirements
* Proactively manage risk, buildability and constructability issues
* Provide strong leadership, mentoring an director to site teams
* Work closely with commercial and engineering teams to achieve cost and delivery targets.
About You
* Proven experience as a Senior Construction Manager on major commercial projects (circa £100million)
* Strong background in commercial CAT A fit out including; block work, drylining, joinery, M&E interfaces and be able to delivery those areas from cradle to grave.
* Excellent attention to detail. A strong focus on Health & Safety & Quality standards is paramount.
* Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
* Tier 1 contractor background desirable.
