Azenta Life Sciences offers a wide range of Sample Management Solutions, with the sample at the core. Consumables and Instruments for various life science industries, including biobanking, compound management, consumer genomics, synthetic biology, and basic research. Our products such as 2D‑coded sample storage tubes, readers, and sample management systems support diverse customer applications, from basic research to molecular diagnostics.
How You’ll Add Value
As a Territory Account Manager you will sell the complete consumable and instrumentation portfolio into sample management & biobanking facilities as well as the wider Life Science Market. You will use your knowledge and understanding of the market to expand our Sample Management market share while growing our customer network directly and through preferred distribution partners.
What You’ll Do
* You must have a minimum of a BSc in a Life Science subject such as Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry or Medical Science.
* 2+ years of sales experience in the Life Science Market, ideally in consumable sales, with experience in sample management preferred.
* Competent in demonstrating instrumentation and articulating sample solution workflows.
* You will have experience working to a target and managing your time effectively to achieve the company’s goals.
* You must be a determined, self‑motivated and enthusiastic individual who can convey technical information.
* Maintain excellent awareness of the laboratory marketplace, including monitoring competitor activity and market trends.
* Must possess a full and clean UK driver’s licence.
What You’ll Bring
* Develop and execute an effective business growth plan in line with SMS strategic initiatives and sales funnel management best practices.
* Achieve annual sales goals within the assigned territory through development, maintenance, and enhancement of client accounts.
* Deliver on annual and quarterly sales targets with regular reporting via CRM (SalesForce), reporting on pipeline and sales activities monthly.
* Communicate the benefits of Azenta Consumables and Instruments, minimising risk, improving sample quality and enhancing access for clients’ valuable samples and drug products.
* Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities and identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive growth.
* Follow up on e‑commerce and inbound leads while converting them into sales opportunities.
* Represent Azenta at account events such as table‑top meetings, seminars, and events as a brand ambassador independently or with distribution partners.
* Support regional distributor partners and build on relationships in customer meetings, events, and training when required.
* Attend and facilitate exhibitions, maintaining and increasing face‑to‑face customer interaction with efficient territory planning.
* Gather customer intelligence and feedback to enable proactive participation in product enhancement and new product development.
* Ensure accurate management of CRM records (SFDC) within the territory.
* Ensure product knowledge and customer communication are of the highest standard.
* Timely supply of product samples and quotations for customers.
