Purpose
Camphill Village Trust provides high-quality care and support underpinned by best practices and co-production. You will be a member of the community management team, reporting to the General Manager, managing the Service Manager / Care & Support Manager, leading, managing, and developing the community locally and regionally. You will hold Registered Manager status and be responsible for maintaining service registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), working to regulations and standards. You will ensure the service meets the quality standards of the local authority.
Main Responsibilities
1. Lead the team in developing and providing creative, responsive support packages that promote positive behavior.
2. Ensure support is effective, efficient, and sustainable, resulting in positive outcomes aligned with individual support plans.
3. Develop and maintain effective relationships with people supported, their families, and advocates.
4. Recruit, induct, develop, and manage staff performance to ensure a high-performing, cohesive team that delivers a consistent service and achieves targets.
5. Support staff through supervision, observations, and appraisals in line with policy.
6. Build relationships with local authorities, CQC, and other inspection bodies.
7. Work with the Head of Supported Living to manage the service within the approved financial budget, ensuring timely approval, invoicing, and processing of expenditure.
8. Ensure daily records, support plans, and risk assessments are up-to-date, within scope, and designed to meet individual needs.
9. Report monthly on service performance, taking corrective actions as needed.
10. Ensure compliance with statutory and legislative standards required by CQC.
11. Support positive behavior approaches across all service areas, integrating them into planning and delivery.
12. Ensure health and safety compliance, including fire safety and COSHH.
13. Maintain a homely environment in all community houses, ensuring legislative compliance.
14. Foster innovation to improve services.
15. Develop, mentor, and coach staff for their personal development.
Qualifications & Skills
* Leadership in Health and Social Care Level 5 or equivalent for Registered Manager status.
* Experience in adult social care, particularly with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health, including regulation and funding.
* Ability to deliver high-quality services tailored to individual needs.
* Proven staff management, coaching, and development skills.
* Budget management experience.
* Knowledge of quality assurance processes and safeguarding.
* Assessment and analytical skills.
* Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
