GSL Education are seeking a committed SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school community in Weymouth from January 2026 on a permanent basis. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored education to pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties. You will work closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure every learner receives high-quality, personalised support to help them thrive both academically and emotionally. Responsibilities of SEN Teacher: Plan, deliver, and assess inclusive and engaging lessons tailored to pupils with special educational needs. Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs and abilities. Create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment. Monitor and track pupil progress, maintaining accurate records and reports. Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external agencies to support pupil development. Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and independence. Maintain strong communication with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Previous experience working with children with special educational needs. Strong knowledge of SEN frameworks and inclusive teaching practices. Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
