We are the RSPCA and it's our vision to live in a world where all animals are respected and treated with compassion. Our volunteers are incredible, they play an essential role in helping us carry out our important animal welfare work every day.
Much of our direct animal welfare work is carried out through our branches. These separately registered charities across England and Wales are run by volunteers who are unstinting in their work for animal welfare.
This volunteer opportunity is provided by an RSPCA branch, which is a separate registered charity to the RSPCA National Society. Please visit theBranch’s websitehttps://www.rspca-yorkhome.org.ukfor more info and to view a copy of the branch'sprivacy policy. https://www.rspca-yorkhome.org.uk/privacy/
You'll be supporting the vital work of the RSPCA by collecting and distributing donations to our charity shops. Other tasks may include: Collecting donations from customers' homes, taking rubbish to the tip or moving stock and equipment between the shops. This may involve lifting items of various sizes and weight but appropriate training will be provided if required.
Our volunteer drivers get to meet lots of different people including members of the public, RSPCA staff and volunteers, and also other animal care professionals in their local area. You’ll also get a buzz by knowing your actions are helping animals.
You'll be driving our vehicle and helping our four shops, located in York, Acomb, Malton, and Selby.
