Role Description
This is an on-site contract role for a Consultant General Surgeon, located in Gillingham. The role involves diagnosing and treating patients with surgical conditions, performing general surgical procedures, and providing comprehensive post-operative care. The Consultant General Surgeon will lead multidisciplinary teams, participate in clinical decision-making, and contribute to the development of surgical services. The role also includes mentoring medical trainees and ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations and best practices.
Qualifications
* Expertise in General Surgery, including experience performing diverse surgical procedures and managing post-operative care.
* Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in diagnosing and managing complex surgical cases.
* Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to staff training.
* Commitment to maintaining patient safety, regulatory compliance, and high standards of care.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
* Full registration with a UK medical council and relevant board certification in General Surgery.
