Overview
Train as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) with NHS West Sussex Talking Therapies (formerly Time to Talk). The course is delivered in partnership with The University of Exeter and commences on 8 September 2026. Applicants must be able to start employment by 1 September 2026.
Training
The University delivers a hybrid approach to teaching, involving face‑to‑face sessions and remote learning. Teaching days are anticipated on Wednesdays and Thursdays in London, with additional training blocks. Clinical practice will take place in the trainee’s designated team base.
Responsibilities
You will provide remote and face‑to‑face treatments for patients, including telephone, video and in‑person appointments. Services are offered 8am‑8pm, and you will be required to work one evening per week once qualified. You will receive clinical supervision from a Senior PWP and work alongside CBT therapists, counsellors and qualified PWPs.
Expectations
Travel to different sites in West Sussex is required. If successful, you will be offered options for your base location subject to availability. Travel between your work base and clinic locations will be covered by NHS West Sussex Talking Therapies.
