Job Responsibilities
* Ensure the safe and efficient utilisation of all electrical equipment on site, adhering to safety protocols and compliance standards.
* Respond to out-of-hours calls on a rotational basis to support operational continuity.
* Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements and implement effective solutions.
* Participate in project work, including installation and commissioning of electrical equipment and services.
* Modify and enhance procedures and programmes to optimise operational performance.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to electrical systems and maintenance activities.
* Assist with electrical breakdowns and support electricians across the plant as required.
* Adopt and uphold good engineering practices and housekeeping standards in all work areas.
* Monitor equipment for signs of failure and report issues promptly to prevent downtime.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and site safety programs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
* Experience with PLC systems is preferred.
* Industrial maintenance experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong health and safety awareness, with the ability to work independently and responsibly.
* Proficiency in electrical installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
* Good understanding of electrical safety standards and compliance requirements.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and respond to operational needs flexibly.
