The right candidate for this role will be someone who has background in vehicle repair, ability to listen, want to learn and progress with their knowledge and skill level.
Sunday to Wednesday - 40 hours per week
The role & Job Description:
The job role will be to work closely with the Workshop Manager.
Inspection, maintenance, and repair of vehicle to ensure road worthiness and reliability to DVSA standards.
Diagnostics and repair of mechanical issues, to include steering, suspension, and brake systems, fuel and air systems, transmission and driveline.
Diagnostics and repair of electrical issues including ABS, EBS and Multiplex CAN Systems.
Repair of damage & body repair when needed, including metal fabrication and welding
Carry out vehicle refurbishments & overalls when required.
Use of diagnostic equipment to assist in time efficient repair.
To repair and maintain vehicles to manufacturers standards and schedules.
To always maintain health and safety standards., and work within company guidelines and safe working practices.
Complete job cards, maintenance records and associated paperwork to a good standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out Service, Maintenance and Repair of a mixed fleet of vehicles and trailers.
Carry out inspections
Complete MOT prep/ presentation
Completion of all required paperwork, including job cards and service sheets using online systems
To work safely and comply with H&S legislation and company procedures at all time
To Maintain a good level of workshop cleanliness
Experience Required:
Must Have:
City and Guilds / NVQ level 2 in light or heavy vehicles
Minimum 2 years in workshop experience in similar roles
Good understanding of Maths & English
Computer literate
Good time keeping
Minimum 1x reference for history of work.
Advantageous attributes:
City and Guilds / NVQ level 3 in light or heavy vehicles
HGV Driving License
Use of Diagnostic equipment
Paint spraying Ability (advantageous)
Welding experience (advantageous)
