Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon. Stourbridge, West Midlands. Up to £70k DOE.
You are a committed vet, you make the effort to advance, improve, and better yourself. A vet who cares believes in the profession, and wants to be the best they can be.
There is no point in trying to advance and progress if the practice doesn’t do the same. Production line consults, targets, form filling, a place where the bottom line is everything. You didn’t sign up for this.
Being a vet is all you have ever wanted to be. To advance, learn, give back, and be part of a team of like-minded friendly vets, work with a practice that invests in its team, and facilities, and a practice that puts the patient first always.
Luckily there are still places like this and one of them is hiring.
An established independent practice based in the market town of Stourbridge is recruiting for an SA Vet, while some experience would be beneficial it’s a kind compassionate person they are most interested in. With a friendly and loyal client base, they have just invested in a new modern purpose built facility.
You’re a vet you can answer this, isn’t it nice when you are on first-name terms with your clients? Well, they are here, with over fifty years in the same area and plenty of five-star reviews clients have been coming back for years.
You can expect an interesting caseload with plenty of opportunities to consult, discuss cases, and operate every week. A practice where the partners work every day, and want everybody to feel valued and to pursue their own interests. Every consult is 20 mins and you will have the support of a consultation assistant giving you more time to speak and explain everything to the customer.
There is plenty of experience in the team as well with external specialist consultants visiting keen to share their knowledge.
So, what's in it for you: £70k DOE, RCVS, VDS fees paid, relocation allowance. Generous CPD allowance, staff discounts, 5 weeks holiday and pension scheme.
Ideally working a 4-day week, Saturdays are worked on a generous rota basis, no Sundays, and no on call. They are flexible so part-time hours can be accommodated.
With access to Birmingham the 2nd largest city in the UK 30 minutes away, a direct train to London, access to stunning countryside and National Trust sites only a few mins away, plus an area renowned for its friendly people, what’s not to like?
Choosing a new practice is a big decision. You want to put patients first, develop as a vet, and work with a team of like-minded individuals who want to make a difference.
So, what’s next?
Send your CV, don’t worry if it’s not up to date. We can’t get the whole story in a job ad so ask any questions. I’ll answer honestly, no hard sell.
Enjoy being a vet again.
