Are you someone with experience working with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities?
A Primary School in the BS5 area of Bristol is seeking a Learning Assistant to work within an SEN Provision Classroom.
This school is a Mainstream Primary School, who are very lucky to have incredible resources to support children with a range of SEN.
This school have highly experienced teachers and staff who are committed to providing a nurturing environment. They offer an inspiring curriculum to help their students think differently, challenge their own learning, and embrace problem solving.
The Role
There are Full-Time positions available at this 3 form entry Primary School starting from September.
As a successful candidate, you will be someone with prior experience working with SEN, someone with a calm and patient presence, someone who can work collaboratively with other members of staff to support a range of different needs; Autism, Speech and Language, ADHD, Challenging Behaviour and many more.
You will be expected to:
* Have high expectations for the individual to succeed.
* Have experience working with SEND children.
* Work closely with the SENDCo to understand the children’s needs.
* Create a stimulating and purposeful environment
* Manage and Support with the children’s needs.
* Assess and communicate the individuals’ successes and developments.
Working with Long-term Teachers:
