A fantastic opportunity: Junior Land Rights and Consents Officer The successful candidate must, at the start of employment have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship. In this role, you will build valuable knowledge and experience across a wide range of land rights activities. You will learn about the legal consents needed to install and maintain ENWL apparatus on private land, including wayleaves, easements, leases and freehold acquisition. You will also gain insight into how our Capital and Connections teams operate, along with key internal Land Rights and Consents processes such as grantor changes and returned payments. You will receive guidance on managing costs effectively when acquiring land rights and consents, as well as how to help resolve any claims arising from the presence of the ENWL network on private land. Throughout your training, you will play a role in protecting and enhancing the company s reputation by helping to ensure our work complies with all relevant legislation. You will also learn why it is important to maintain accurate and detailed records of communication with landowners, and you will gain confidence using the systems available to support this. As part of your learning, you will be introduced to our audit processes, including how they operate, why they matter and what may be required if Land Rights and Consents are involved in hearings or court proceedings. What we're looking for: We welcome applicants from a wide range of educational and professional backgrounds. You may have studied at degree level, ideally in a subject such as geography or law, or you may bring relevant experience from a similar role or environment. Both routes are valued. An interest in areas like land, planning, real estate law, or landlord and tenant matters will help you thrive in this role, but it is not essential. If you are curious, willing to learn, and motivated by working with people and property-related matters, we would love to hear from you. Some awareness of legislation relevant to our work, such as the Electricity Act 1989, is beneficial. However, if this is new to you, we will support your development with training and hands-on learning. This role requires some travel, a full UK driving licence is essential.
