Who You Are We are seeking Qualified, Experienced, and Advanced Social Workers to join our Assessment and Child Protection Team at Swindon Borough Council. You must have a minimum of 3 years PQE in a permanent setting. Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from Swindon to benefit from our travel and accommodation expenses scheme, which is valid until 10 February 2026. What the job involves During your duty week, you will manage a caseload of children requiring statutory assessments or child protection investigations. The assessments you conduct will inform the development of their plans. Children in your care may need varying levels of support, from community-based assistance to Child in Need or Child Protection Plans, ensuring smooth transitions. You'll have opportunities for career progression through monthly reflective supervision and a variety of training programs.
