Year 1 Class Teacher - Primary School

Pay: £140 - £250 per day (dependent on experience)
Spencer Clarke Group are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Chorley who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team from January 2026 until the end of the Summer Term.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and creative teacher who can inspire young learners and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons during this key stage of their education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the Year 1 curriculum.
* Support pupils in developing their phonics, literacy and numeracy skills.
* Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
* Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to parents and senior staff.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and colleagues to support pupil development.
* Participate fully in school life, including staff meetings, parent consultations, and school events.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1.
* Excellent understanding of the National Curriculum and early phonics schemes.
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
* Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners.
