Overview
This Band 5 Dietitian role is rotational across the Hospital Services Team, Community Services Team, Diabetes & Weight Management Team, and Child & Young Person Team within the NHS Fife Nutrition and Dietetics Service. Posts rotate every 9–12 months; the initial team placement is determined by knowledge, skills, experience and current service demands.
Responsibilities
* Provide dietetic assessment and interventions within NHS Fife’s Dietetics Service across allocated teams.
* Work closely with colleagues within the Nutrition and Dietetic Service, as well as consultants, GPs, nursing staff, AHPs and wider MDTs.
* Support dietetic-led models of care and the non-prescribing ordering model (NPO) for oral nutritional supplements where applicable.
* Deliver dietetic student training and participate in placements for A, B & C, with involvement in service-wide education and training sessions.
* Engage in continuing professional development and utilise administrative and IT support to deliver services effectively.
* Contribute to an established Band 5 Dietitian network to support networking, peer development and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications and requirements
* HCPC registered with the skills, competencies and experience appropriate for Band 5 posts.
* Induction and training are provided to facilitate transition into the role.
