Scofell Commercial Landscapes has been creating, maintaining and improving landscapes for commercial clients across the south of England since 1998. Although we’ve grown, our founders are still running the company. We still offer a personal level of care and attention to all our clients. And we still apply an individual level of care and attention to all the landscaping tasks we do.
Scofell provide a range of ground maintenance, landscaping, tree surgery and countryside services. Our clients include primary and secondary schools, councils, retail and business parks, house builders, managed properties, owners of large country estates and other private and public sector organisations.
Role Description
We are seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team in Chieveley, near Newbury. This is a full-time, on-site role. The Grounds Maintenance Operative will carry out a variety of tasks to keep our clients’ outdoor spaces safe, attractive and well-maintained. Key responsibilities include:
* Lawn mowing and border maintenance
* Hedge cutting, pruning, and strimming
* Weed and leaf control

* Litter picking and bin emptying
* Safe use and upkeep of grounds maintenance equipment
We are looking for individuals who:
* Enjoy working outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions
* Take pride in their work and aim to deliver excellent service
* Work well as part of a small, supportive team

Experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related fields is desirable but not essential. Skills in equipment maintenance, general maintenance, or relevant horticultural or arboriculturequalifications will be an advantage.
