Sleep Appointments Co-ordinator
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and motivated appointments coordinator to join our busy and supportive Sleep Disorder Centre team at Queen Victoria Hospital. This key administrative role supports the efficient running of the service through the co‑ordination of patient bookings, waiting lists, and diagnostic pathways. You will play a vital part in ensuring patients receive timely care while helping the Trust meet important performance targets.
Main Duties
* Coordinate and schedule outpatient, inpatient, and home diagnostic appointments
* Manage and maintain accurate waiting lists and patient pathways
* Support delivery of RTT (Referral to Treatment) targets through effective tracking and data entry
* Handle high volumes of patient calls and enquiries with professionalism and empathy
* Work closely with clinical teams to optimise clinic utilisation and patient flow
* Ensure clinic outcomes, DNAs, and pathway updates are accurately recorded
* Assist with the administration of coordination and equipment management where necessary
Person Specification
Essential
* Maths & English GCSE or equivalent
* Experience of working within a healthcare environment or the general public
* Good understanding of Word, Excel and Outlook
* Accurate data entry
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure
* Methodical and focused
Desirable
* Experience of using digital platforms
* Advanced keyboard skills
* Experience of working within a Hospital Trust
Recruitment Details
* Band: 3
* Salary: £25,760 to £27,476 per annum, depending on experience
* Contract: Fixed term, 12 months
* Working pattern: Full‑time, flexible working, home or remote working
