As a Solution Architect, you will play a key role in supporting theprocurement and implementation of both a replacement Electronic Prescribing andMedicines Administration (ePMA) system and a new Patient Administration System(PAS). Reporting to the Head of Project Management Office, you will lead thetechnical strategy, ensuring alignment with NHS England standards and theTrusts Informatics Strategy while helping to shape the future of digitalhealthcare across LTHT.
Please note: Interviews will be conducted in-person, and this rolerequires on-site presence 1-2 days per week.
Main duties of the job
Your Role Will Involve:
* Definingthe technical requirements, integration plans, and migration strategiesfor the new ePMA and PAS systems.
* Leadingthe technical discovery and evaluation process for both systems, ensuringthey meet clinical, operational, and IT requirements.
* Workingcollaboratively with Digital Information Technology (DIT), MedicinesManagement and Pharmacy Services (MMPS), Clinical Operations, and keystakeholders to develop robust, scalable, and interoperable solutions.
* Ensuringseamless integration with existing EHR, PAS, pharmacy, and prescribingsystems, enabling safe and efficient workflows.
* Developinginteroperability strategies in line with NHS standards, including FHIR,HL7, SNOMED CT, and OpenEHR.
* Ensuringcompliance with clinical safety standards (DCB0129/0160), regulatoryrequirements (HIPAA, GDPR), and NHS England frameworks.
* Supportingprocurement, vendor assessments, and solution evaluations, ensuring theselected ePMA and PAS solutions align with LTHTs long-term digitalroadmap.

Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent higher education qualification in a relevant field.
* Industry-based Architecture Certification (e.g., IT Architect Certification, TOGAF Certification, or Master of Enterprise Architecture).
* Evidence of management development through Continuous Professional Development and/or formal management courses.
* ITIL qualification and experience working to ITIL standards
* Relevant healthcare IT certifications (e.g., NHS Digital Enterprise Architecture training, Digital Health Leadership Academy).
Experience
* Extensive experience as a solution, technical, or integration architect in a complex digital environment, working with diverse technologies, platforms, and large-scale systems over an extended perio
* Strong knowledge and experience of architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
* Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale digital solutions, particularly in healthcare IT projects such as Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) or Patient Administrat
