We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to lead business analysis activity and support the delivery of our change demands.
This role will be a fixed-term contract for a period of 24 months.
The role will be working on a hybrid basis, so you could be based anywhere but would be expected to travel to the Head Office in Carlisle twice per month on average.

The Role
Main responsibilities include:
* To identify and clearly document business requirements for complex situations
* Engage with stakeholders and relevant Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify, prioritise, and strategically shape the business requirements.
* Analyse and document current processes, workflows, and information exchanges, challenging stakeholders/SMEs where necessary, to seek opportunities to improve processes, ensuring maximum benefits and customer experience.
* To produce detailed options analysis with a considered recommendation to the Business
* Document clearly the options available for complex situations, including consideration of benefits, risks, issues, and costs associated with each, to enable informed decision-making.
* Ensure successful delivery of business requirements as documented in the Business Requirements Document and approved by the Project Steering Group and Business Owner.
* Work alongside the Test Analyst to ensure test plans and traceability matrices verify that requirements are met.
* Champion the business requirements throughout the Project Life Cycle, managing changes through effective change control processes.
* To identify and manage project risks and issues
* Collaborate with the Project Manager to identify, understand, and control risks and issues, and take appropriate actions for resolution.
* To effectively manage stakeholders through the Project Life Cycle
* Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, especially senior management and third-party vendors.
* Increase awareness of project roles and the responsibilities of a business analyst within the business.
* To ensure all aspects of project governance are met in line with the Change Management Framework
* Define standard templates for project documentation with other Business Analysts.
* Complete all required documentation within agreed timescales and standards.
* Review and suggest improvements to the Change Management Framework.
* To support the embedding of the Change Management Framework
* Promote the Framework across the organisation.
* Provide support to stakeholders for effective implementation of the Framework.
About You
We’re looking for someone with strong, demonstrable experience as a business analyst within financial services, working alongside product owners.
Preferred qualifications and experience include:
* BSC diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent
* Experience as Data/Reporting Analyst within financial services
* Ability to develop and maintain data dashboards and reports
* Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Jira, Confluence, SQL, Power BI, or similar BI tools
* Ability to document data processes and workflows
Skills, abilities, and behaviours required:
* Strong leadership skills with coaching ability
* Solid knowledge of Business Analysis processes, tools, and techniques
* Ability to interpret complex requirements and collaborate with technical teams
* Experience in documenting acceptance criteria
* Ability to lead analysis efforts and develop effective stakeholder relationships
