About the Position: We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our team at a busy site, where you will play a key role in maintaining and optimising a fleet of heavy goods vehicles. This role offers the chance to work on a wide range of vehicle maintenance and diagnostics tasks, ensuring maximum uptime and safety while developing your skills in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Carry out routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles.
* Diagnose, identify, and troubleshoot mechanical issues on vehicle and body systems.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used.
* Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
* Support apprentices and colleagues by providing training, advice, and guidance.
Requirements
* Qualified Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic (HGV Mechanic) with a minimum of 3 years' post-apprenticeship experience in HGV maintenance and repair.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with good computer literacy.
* Well-organised, self-motivated, and an effective communicator.
* Ability to follow instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form.
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge of waste collection vehicles.
* Experience in electrical and engine troubleshooting and diagnostics.
* Leadership or mentoring experience, particularly with apprentices.
Experience Required
Minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship experience in HGV maintenance and repair.
Education
No minimum education required.
