We’re working exclusively with a well-established, design-led building services consultancy to recruit a Principal or Associate Public Health Engineer. The company is being kept confidential at this stage but offers stability, strong leadership, and excellent career progression.
This role can be based in Reading or Bournemouth, with hybrid working available.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in the technical delivery and leadership of public health engineering services across a varied portfolio of projects, including commercial, residential and mission-critical environments.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading the day-to-day technical delivery of public health design services across multi-disciplinary projects
*
Developing initial strategic public health concepts aligned with project briefs and regulatory standards
*
Acting as a client-facing technical lead, attending project meetings and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
*
Supporting fee management, resource planning and project delivery alongside the team leader
*
Mentoring and developing junior engineers, graduates and apprentices
*
Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment to deliver high-quality design solutions
About You
You’ll ideally bring:

Proven experience as a Public Health Engineer within a consultancy or design-led environment
*
Strong technical knowledge across drainage, rainwater and domestic water services
*
Experience delivering complex projects across multiple sectors
*
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
*
Sound understanding of relevant British Standards
*
A collaborative leadership style with a genuine interest in developing others
Salary & Package
*
Salary: £55,000 – £75,000 (depending on level and experience)
